GT-R Police Car

Called the “Copzilla”, this real Nissan GT-R police car was developed specifically for the 2017 New York Auto Show, but unfortunately (or fortunately), won’t make an appearance in Fast 8. It sports a matte black paint job with gold stripes, features a massive wing, large 22-inch wheels, official police lights up top and in the grille, and ‘Skyline Metro’ badges. Handmade Sports Car

South African electrical engineer Moses Ngobeni had always dreamed of building his own sports car, and he made that a reality. Spending a total of just 240,000 ZAR ($16,750 USD), he managed to complete the project in a mere 3-years sourcing parts from multiple automobiles. Its 2.0L engine, as well as the rear brake light, come from a 1998 BMW 318is, while the rear windows from a 1986 Mazda 323, side windows from a 2005 BMW M3 E46, a Volkswagen Caddy windscreen, 2011 Audi TT headlights and lastly, menacing 2015 Nissan GT-R taillights. Gold Engraved GT-R

Kuhl Racing spent over 6-months creating this GT-R, starting with a fiberglass bodykit, which was then intricately hand engraved. Once that was completed, the car was given an 18K gold finish. Unfortunately, it’ll set you back over $1-million if you decide to purchase this luxurious one-off beast. Continue reading for another video, more pictures and additional information. GT-R Drone

Nissan’s all-new 2017 GT-R has a top speed of 196mph and can go from 0-60mph in 2.9-seconds, and to put it to the test, the company built a drone capable of hitting 115mph. Now it may not have the range, but it out-accelerates the car to 62mph, managing to hit it in 1.3-seconds. This was made possible with a special custom design optimized to keep drag to a minimum. It’s an FPV-type drone, flown in the same way as competition drones, which means the pilot has a headset that relays a drone-eye-view to him, enabling pinpoint precision. 2017 Nissan GT-R

Unlike its predecessor, the 2017 Nissan GT-R now pumps 565-horsepower from its twin-turbo 3.8L V6 engine, an increase of 20-horsepower, mated to a dual-clutch 6-speed gearbox. You also get a new Titanium exhaust system with “Active Sound Enhancement” to give it more of a bark outside, while “Active Noise Cancellation” keeps things quiet in the cabin. Speaking of the interior, the paddle shifters are now steering wheel-mounted, enabling drivers to make mid-turn gear changes without having to move their hand position. 2000HP Nissan GT-R

Sure, the Bugatti Veyron may have over 1000-horsepower, but T1 Race Development’s Nissan GT-R has more than twice that. You ready that right, their “record-breaking machine,” delivers a monstrous output of 2,276-horsepower at 9,332RPM and 1,335 lb-ft of torque at 7,484RPM to the wheels. All of this power is good for a 7.6-second @ 187mph quarter mile time and a standing 0-186mph in 9.6-seconds on street tires. Continue reading for two more videos and additional information.

Nissan Juke-R 2.0

This followup to the original Juke-R may look similar, but it’s definitely no slouch. Powered by a 3.8L twin-turbo V6 from the GT-R NISMO that produces 600-horsepower, this family crossover has been given new life as a performance vehicle. There’s plenty of carbon fiber components on the exterior, including the bumper and a set of winglets. To keep things stealthy, it was given a matte black paint job. You can see it in person at the Goodwood Festival Speed this weekend. Continue reading for a video and more information.

Criminals beware, as this awesome Nissan GT-R police car might be one vehicle you won’t be able to outrun. According to HiConsumption, “the 2-door sports car has even been equipped with a set of flashing red and blue lights complete with sirens.” The Dubai police car fleet might be its only rivals.
