Photoshop guru “Kanahoooo” on Chinese social media website Weibo specializes in enhancing random profile photos. Her work is so incredible that she’s amassed 430,000 followers, and the goal is to make people look “shiny,” or in other words, far different from their original photos. “Don’t believe the perfect thing you see online. Sure, some Adobe After Effects and Photoshop was used to create the mind-bending illusions, but for the most part, all of these 3D drawings were handcrafted by Visoth Kakvei from Cambodia, who has a following of 800,000 on Instagram. Photographer and digital artist Erik Johansson has revealed his latest project, titled “Full Moon Service,” and it depicts workers swapping in a full moon to show the lunar phases. “This is a photo I’ve been working on from now and then for the past 8 months. Shot in late summer of 2016 a beautiful calm evening in the middle of Sweden. I brought out 7 rice lamps, 7 light bulbs, an electric generator, a car and two models out in a field. The main part that has been retouched in this photo is to replace the rice ball with a moon texture, the light and the mood was very close to what you see in the photo,” said Johansson. Camp Redblood and The Essential Revenge by Pat Hines was illustrated entirely in MS Paint, and not for the novelty. “I suck at Photoshop and other programs, and have worked exclusively in Microsoft Paint for over ten years…I honed my craft working long overnights at a hospital reception desk,” said Hines. NASA’s Cassini spacecraft took its final dive into Saturn’s rings on April 26th, showing them like we’ve never seen before. Now, the agency has revealed the first true color images of Saturn’s North Pole, created by astroparticle physicist Sophia Nasr. In this region, there’s a never-ending hurricane with 300+ mile per hour winds, and previous images showed the area in a reddish hue.
