Set for release in June 2018, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium will become the company’s flagship handset. Featuring a 5.7″ edge-to-edge 4K HDR OLED display, Snapdragon 835 octa-core CPU (up to 2.45-GHz), 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and dual rear cameras. Snowden Surveillance App Haven

NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, Freedom of the Press Foundation, and the Guardian Project, have unveiled a new app called “Haven”. When installed on an Android smartphone, it activates different sensors on the device, uses the front / back cameras to detect motion, and uses the microphone to spot changes in the volume level, thus turning it into a personal surveillance system of sorts. Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus

The Samsung Galaxy S9 will look nearly identical to its predecessor, according to analysts, and the main difference will be a relocated fingerprint sensor in a central location on the back. Plus, the company is also adding a secondary rear camera for the S9+. You can also expect a near bezel-less Infinity Display, while the heartbeat and camera flash module will be placed to the right of the rear camera. Zanco Tiny T1 Smallest Phone

Sure, it may not be practical, but the Zanco Tiny T1 is touted as the world’s smallest functional cell phone, measuring in at just 47mm x 21mm x 12 mm. Priced at $40, the 13g device operates on a 2G network and has a battery good for 3 days of standby time and 180 minutes of talk time. “The creation of the Zanco Tiny T1 was motivated purely by the challenge of whether or not it was possible to create a phone so small,” said Robert Lattibeaudiere, operations manager at creators Clubit New Media. Samsung Galaxy X

Samsung inadvertently published a support page for the Galaxy X on its website last week, which confirms its existence, with a SM-G888N0 codename, which suggests it may only launch in South Korea. The company has been known to be working on a foldable smartphone for several years, and has a number of video teasers, but what the final prototype will look like isn’t yet clear. Huawei P11 X

The Huawei P11 will be released next year, but some are speculating that the company will release a higher-end model called the P11 X that would include a triple rear camera setup. As for the technical side, it could ship with the Kirin 970 chipset, found inside both the Huawei Mate 10 / Mate 10 Pro as well as 8GB of RAM. Industrial designer took these patent images and created an actual device, complete with the intricate hinge details, to show us what such a phone could look like.
