Budapest-based product designer Gabor Balogh doesn’t know if the next-generation handset from Apple will be called the iPhone 8, iPhone X, or just iPhone, but one thing’s for sure, there is going to be an all-new display. This latest concept shows just how apps would interact with an edge-to-edge screen. To start, it boasts a dynamic background that changes based on whatever the camera is pointed at, which means Siri would be able to recognize landmarks and locations around you to tell you what you need to know. Google may have partnered with HTC to release the Pixel, but that may not be the company’s flagship smartphone for long, or at least if the “Ocean” can do anything about it. This strange voice mask basically blocks the sound of the wearer’s voice so others can’t listen in, and it connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth. Eye iPhone Case

Esti Inc’s “Eye” case basically adds a 5-inch AMOLED screen to the back of a user’s iPhone, but it’s not just a display. This “smart case” runs Android 7.1 Nougat and comes equipped with its own 2,800mAh battery, 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, dual SIM card slots and microSD expansion. “The current technology of the iPhone LCD display is old. In comparison, Eye’s screen is using the best display technology on the market today called AMOLED. With this technology, all colors, including real black, are much more vibrant on the screen,” according to the company. Best of all, early backers were able snag one for just $95. iPhone Edition

Another day, another iPhone rumor. This time, insiders are claiming that Apple won’t call their next smartphone the “iPhone 8”, but instead “iPhone Edition”, to commemorate its 10th anniversary. The next-generation handset is reported to feature a 5.8-inch curved AMOLED display made by Samsung, an A10X or A11 processor, wireless charging, virtual home button, a dual-lens camera with AR capabilities, 3GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage. Nokia Edge

Nokia may have sold its mobile devices division to Microsoft, but there is no shortage of new handsets planned for the future. One example would be the Nokia Edge, which is purported to feature a 5.7 inch Quad HD AMOLED screen, 6GB of RAM, an octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor, a 24-megapixel main camera with 4K video recording, and a 12 MP front-facing camera that boasts an integrated retina scanner.
