Gameloft’s upcoming Terminator Salvation iPhone game looks to be a third-person shooter, complete with robots, massive weapons, and lots more. No word yet on pricing or availability. Trailer after the break.

The trailer for Gameloft’s iPhone version of its upcoming Terminator: Salvation game leaked, and we’re pretty impressed. We can’t tell how the controls will work, but the graphics and gameplay really do look great.

I found the overall flow of the onscreen action to make for a great shooter experience with a real arcade feel. Siberian Strike impressed me as one of the best shooters I’ve encountered for the iPhone.

Unlike its NES counterpart, Top Gun for the iPhone lets “players control both the plane and the targeting reticule with the accelerometer while two onscreen buttons control the Vulcan cannon and the missile launcher.” Video after the break. Click here for the first picture in gallery.

Given how short the missions were and how limited the scope of combat, I could see paying up to $1.50 for this game. If Paramount asks for $5, no way.

Priced at just $1 through the iTunes App Store, Light Writer for the iPhone makes full use of the handset’s accelerometer, allowing “you to create text or image POV illusions.” Click here for first picture in gallery.

You just type in your message or select a piece of clipart, wave your arm in the air (night works best) and create “magic” that would have gotten you burned at the stake just a century ago.

Finally, Apple has added the cut and paste function in their iPhone OS 3.0 software. Basically, “when you double-tap over text, you will get a “cut, copy, and paste” bubble dialog.” Click here for the live event gallery.

This works across applications. You can expand your selection points using your thumbs and, if you accidentally paste something you didn’t want to paste, just shake your iPhone to undo it.
