Back in February 2021, LEGO announced that they were going to create a Sonic the Hedgehog set, thanks to a concept design submitted by 24 year-old, UK based, superfan Viv Grannell. Today, the LEGO Ideas (21331) set has leaked ahead of its official revel, and it consists of 1,125-pieces, complete with Sonic mini figurines. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is the official sequel toe Sonic the Hedgehog, which was released in 2020, and there a few new characters in tow, Knuckles included. This installment follows the journey of Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails Miles Prower as they try to prevent Doctor Eggman as well as Knuckles the Echidna from finding the Master Emerald. Sonic the Hedgehog fans rejoice! Power Idolz has just the wireless charging dock for your mobile phone. This officially licensed SEGA product doesn’t include Sonic’s torso or face, but rather the original Mega Drive / Genesis box art, complete with arms and legs. For those who don’t have a compatible mobile phone, it can be put on your desk as a decoration piece.
Ever wonder what it would be like to view the world from Sonic the Hedgehog’s perspective? If so, you may reconsider after checking out this Sonic Generations mod by a programmer who goes by Skyth online. Not only do you get to experience his dizzying speed, but all of the flips, bounces, jumps and more at supersonic speeds, all of which may case motion sickness. The programmer notes that it’s best to Disable Boost Particles code in the 2D sections.
For those who have never played Sonic Mania, it essentially brings fans back to the 2D world of platform games with nostalgic pixel-style art and core classic gameplay by reimagining iconic Zones and Acts from Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic CD and Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles. In celebration of Sonic the Hedgehog’s 30th birthday, Minecraft gets an all-new DLC, complete with procedurally generated locations, whether it be a standard forest trail or beach route to the iconic Green Hills Zone and Chemical Plant Zone. Just like its SEGA counterpart, there are rings to collect. Sure, they may be the blockiest rings you have ever laid your eyes on, but they get the job done and there are also plenty of obstacles to dash past as well as bosses to defeat.
Remember Sonic Colors on the Nintendo Wii? Well, SEGA has remastered the game and it’s called Sonic Colors: Ultimate. This adrenaline-pumping remaster of the iconic 2010 platformer refreshes the title with stunning visuals, additional features, a new mode, and improved gameplay enhancements. It will be released both digitally and physically on September 7, 2021 starting on PlayStation 4, Xbox One Consoles and Nintendo Switch. Never heard of Sonic Kart 3DX? That’s probably because it was released on Sonic Cafe, SEGA’s mobile phone game service in Japan, during 2005. To be more specific, users of NTT DoCoMo’s i-appli phones were able to pay around $3 USD per month for access to the entire library of games, which in addition to Sonic Kart 3DX, included such titles as Sonic Golf, Sonic Billiards, Sonic Bowling and even Sonic Tennis.
Remember Sonic Adventure from 1998 on the SEGA Dreamcast? If so, this fan-made game will bring back some memories. Officially called “Sonic Adventure: Dreams Edition”, it was created by two gamers and also draws inspiration from the Boost system used in Sonic Unleashed, along with some of the character assets, including Sonic himself. The game starts off in an open-world hub that is large enough to let you run at full-speed.

This set will be based on a concept design submitted by 24 year-old LEGO superfan Viv Grannell from the United Kingdom. Her design was inspired by SEGA popular 2017 platformer game Sonic Mania, and features iconic characters, environments as well as power-ups from the game’s Green Hill Zone level.
