Sony has kept their lid on the PS5, but in May, Sony Interactive CEO John Kodera revealed that the console would not be released until 2021, but analysts claim that it could come as soon as Christmas 2019 – sooner than the next-generation Xbox. The company will reportedly use this console to highlight its VR efforts, with the technology being integrated at the silicon level, and everything will be powered by a AMD Navi-based GPU, paired with a semi-custom Zen CPU. It’s only a matter of time before we see smartphones using flexible displays, but for the time being, there are several models out with dual displays, and the Sony Xperia Slide could be the next. Featuring a 6″ 4K OLED display, an 8″ 4K AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, up to 6GB of RAM, 512GB of internal storage, and a 19MP / 16MP dual rear camera setup. PlayStation Classic

Sony announced today that it plans to launch a miniature games console designed to resemble the original PlayStation, but 45% smaller, and it comes pre-loaded with 20 vintage games to boot. Officially called the “PlayStation Classic,” the new console shares the design of the original PlayStation that launched in 1994, but is considerably smaller, priced at $99.99. You’ll find classic titles, like the 1997 role-playing game Final Fantasy VII to the 1998-1999 racing game R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 and Tekken 3. New Sony Aibo Dog

For those who have always wanted Sony’s AIBO robotic dog, but didn’t manage to pick one up when they were discontinued in 2006, rejoice! The company announced today that their all-new version will be coming to the US, priced at $2,899, which includes three years of Sony’s AI Cloud service too. Unlike its predecessors, this model uses AI Cloud to send its daily activities back to Sony’s servers, shaping the robot’s personality as well as enabling owners stay connected to their device over Wi-Fi or LTE through AT&T. 500-Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro

Sony has decided to commemorate selling 500-million PlayStation consoles – 525.3-million to be exact – by releasing a limited edition PS4 Pro. Limited to just 50,000 units worldwide, the bundle includes a translucent-blue console with matching DualShock 4 controller, a stand, headset, and a PlayStation Camera. Sony IMX586 48MP Sensor

We have seen the future of smartphone cameras, and they’ll use Sony’s all-new IMX586 CMOS sensor, the first with the capability to capture 48-megapixel photos, thanks to an ultra-small pixel size of just 0.8μm, which enables this pixel density on a 1/2-inch sensor. It also captures 4K video footage at 30fps, 480fps high-speed recording at 1080p, phase-detect autofocus, and HDR imaging. “These days, high-end smartphone models require even greater imaging quality from their cameras. ARVOW Smartphone Three Displays

Several dual-screen smartphones have already hit the market, but we’ve yet to see a model with three displays, or at least a non-concept, to be revealed. The Sony ARVOW just might be the first, as not only does this device have a triple screen setup, but when not in use, you can just fold it in half, using the top and bottom for notifications. Another day, another PlayStation 5 concept, especially this time of year, when E3 is in full session. Designed by Joseph Dumary, this device features a Smart Console that records and adapts gamers’ behavior to provide preferred controller settings, apply game options automatically, and install necessary apps to enhance the gaming experience. However, the most innovative feature are the new DualShock controllers, which boast “Watt Up” technology by the Energous Group, which permanently keeps the gamepads charged wirelessly.
