Artist Lars Martensson aka GRID has come up with an interesting Subaru Impreza concept that “has a handle on what the STI needs to be: Squat, mean, and purposeful.” Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

Okay, so perhaps the cut-down greenhouse wouldn’t leave much room for taller folks (much less a helmet), but if one of these were parked in our driveway, well… we’d happily squat a little.

This Subaru Sambar micro truck on eBay is “about as far from Ferrari spec as you could imagine: a 660 cc, 2-cylinder, 2-stroke engine sits way back in the rear, with a pickup truck bed where you’d normally find the powerplant in an F430.” Auction page. Click here for first picture in gallery.

It does have a ball shifter and Momo pedals, though. Even though the bidding’s over, the truck didn’t meet reserve (which is somewhere north of $12,800) so you can start saving for its eventual relisting.

The complete transformation takes an amazing 800 hours of labor. It’s no secret that running a motorsports team is a lot of work, but probably most of us don’t know how much time and effort it really takes.

2009 Subaru Impreza WRX

The 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX features a number of upgrades, including a “retuned 2.5-liter boxer four-pot producing 265 hp and 244 lb.-ft. of torque � a 41 hp and 18 lb.-ft. increase over the outgoing model.” Click here for first picture in gallery.

The suspension has been revised to include stiffer springs, uprated dampers, upper strut mounts cribbed from the STI and larger anti-roll bars fore and aft.

Impreza WRC

Unlike its predecessors, the Subaru Impreza WRC2008 rally car will be equipped with BOS dampers and be piloted by Petter Solberg and Chris Atkinson. Click here for one more picture.

The Impreza Rally WRC2008 car was originally previewed at the Frankfurt Motor Show, but Subaru has yet to announce the final specifications of its new rally rocket. Obviously, Prodrive has had its hand in developing the new racer.

This updated model sports a turbocharged 2.5L flat-4 engine that produces 305hp @ 6000rpm and 290 lb-ft torque @ 4000rpm, rocketing the car to 60mph in just 4.8-seconds. Video after the break.
