Lightsaber Duels

LucasArts has just released the first trailer for Clone Wars Lightsaber Duels, an “immersive Wiimote-as-lightsaber game that we’d been hoping for since…well, since we first saw the Wiimote.” Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

Sure, it looks nice, especially for a Wii game, what with all the fancy lightsaber effects and stylized character models. But it’s just not the game we want.

HAWX

Here’s a first look at HAWX, “the arcade flight combat sim forthcoming from Ubisoft by the end of the year.” No word yet on availability. Click here for first picture in gallery.

I’m unsure about the company [providing the maps], but they used satellite mapping of the areas and reconstructed them into the game. The mountains look epic with all the texturing and bushes.

Call of Duty World at War Trailer

The latest installment in the Call of Duty series “is still utilizing Infinity Ward’s engine from last year’s award-winning Call of Duty 4.” Continue reading for the debut Call of Duty World at War trailer.

The World at War team, has also had an additional year of development time when compared to its first COD effort, Call of Duty 3.

Centipede Classic

What better way to make use of a Centipede classic arcade machine than by stuffing a functional computer inside? Plus, the trackball and fire buttons were remapped “to act as the mouse movement and left click.” Click here for first picture in gallery.

I mounted my monitor where the old screen used to be and put the computer on a shelf I made so it was easily accessed through the coin door.

Atari 7800 System

Master game console modder Ben Heck shows off his latest creation, a portable Atari 7800 system. Boasting a 7-inch widescreen display, built-in rechargeable batteries, a combination driving / paddle controller, and A/V out. Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

The 7800 motherboard is a bit larger than the 2600, thus the unit is larger, but I slapped on a bigger 7″ widescreen to make up for it.

The Incredible Hulk is pretty much a straight sequel to Ultimate Destruction. Trouble is, Edge of Reality took out far more than it added.

Conduit

In The Conduit for the Nintendo Wii, “Washington D.C. finds itself the epicenter of an extraterrestrial attack and it’s up to gamers, as the secret service’s Agent Ford, to discover the truth hidden behind the invasion.” Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

The images do not fail to impress us – this is a pretty looking game, especially for the Wii. The Conduit, still currently without a publisher, is due out in Q1.

Battlefield Bad Company Release

Command and Conquer Kanes Wrath

According to ShackNews, Command and Conquer Kanes Wrath “which was an ‘expansion pack’ for the PC version of Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, will not require Xbox 360 owners to own the original game.” Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery/

Kane’s Wrath on Xbox 360 will cost $40 and contains an “exclusive challenge mode.” Command and Conquer: Kane’s Wrath for Xbox 360 will hit retail with a vengeance on June 23.
