The problem with most smartwatches today is that they just look plain ugly, and / or feature bizarre graphical user interfaces, without the technology needed to complete basic smartphone tasks. For example, most, if not all, smartwatches need to be paired with a handset to function properly, but this one by Gabor Balogh, is standalone. Its interface uses buttons and bezel found on standard watches, with the former being key, as it can be used for scrolling through a long message, etc. By using the bezel to control apps and other functions, it frees up the side buttons for “native” functions like time, date, alarms and toggling between modes.
