Take a Tesla Model S with autopilot, turn it into an autonomous tractor, and you get this vehicle by Case IH. This futuristic tractor can either run on its own or be controlled remotely using a software app that runs on both tablets as well as desktop PCs. It uses a combination of cameras, radar, and LiDAR (Light imaging, detection, and ranging), along with proprietary software, to account for the size of the attached machinery, plotting the most efficient path and sense obstacles. If something is detected, the operator is notified immediately, and a new path is automatically plotted. Click here to view the first image in today’s viral picture gallery.
