Elon Musk has done it again, the Tesla Model 3 is officially the first all-electric yellow taxicab in New York City. The vehicle first received approval from the city about a year ago to operate as a taxi, and now, the first one has appeared on the streets. Unlike standard taxis that operate 24 hours a day, the Model 3s are brought in overnight to charge. So far, the Model 3 taxi has completed more than 100 trips in its first week of service. The biggest issue from drivers is that riders have not been able to figure out how to open the door. The proper way to open one would be the simply press the wider part of the non-mechnical handle with your thumb and then use the rest of the hand to grab the thin part of the handle as it pivots open. One driver has range anxiety, and brought the car back charging after depleting just 50 miles of the car’s 220-mile range.
