‘The Creator’ is an upcoming sci-fi thriller that pits humans against artificial intelligence and stars John David Washington. Joshua, played by Washington, is a hardened ex-special forces agent recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the advanced AI who developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end humankind.
His team of elite operatives journey across enemy lines, right into the dark heart of AI-occupied territory, only to discover that the Creator he’s been tasked to destroy is actually an AI in the form of a young child. The film also stars Gemma Chan (Maya), Ken Watanabe (Harun), and Sturgill Simpson (Shipley). It’s slated for release on September 29, 2023 in the United States.
