Laser Cut Mini Boat

Think of Rapid Whale’s laser-cut mini boat as a go-kart for the open water. Created by industrial designer Josh Tulberg, this watercraft was fabricated using a workshop laser cutter, 3D printer, zip ties and epoxy. To be more specific, the vessel is made from marine-grade wood, and at 6-feet long bow-to-stern, it’s almost the shortest boat ever. How much will it cost you? Around $2,000 after you pick up a $950 ‘bare-hull kit’, plans for $95, and an additional $500 to $1,100 for off-the-shelf components. Click here for the first image in today’s viral picture gallery.
