Located in Hiroshima, Japan, the House in Tousuienn boasts an open plan design covered in translucent polycarbonate that enables natural light to fill every corner. While not very large, the translucency makes it feels lighter while also allowing sunshine to permeate the interior. It spans three levels built within an area of 740 square foot. “As most exterior walls are thick and heavy, many sliding windows were added to balance out the heavy look of the exterior. The interior decoration is minimal and modern with furniture made out of wood and concrete details that offer great contrast to the crystalline walls. A brilliant warm space, this Japanese shelter also allows inhabitants to fully experience changes of the surrounding nature from inside of the home,” according to Inhabitat.
