Epic Games showcased Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) at their State of Unreal 2023 keynote and this tool lets developers design, develop, and publish content into the game, alongside Fortnite’s existing Creative toolset. Over time, UEFN will have most of the same tools found in Unreal Engine 5.
With the public beta, developers will be able to rig as well as animate using Control Rig & Sequencer, block out geometry directly using Unreal Engine’s modeling tools, and add visual effects using the Niagara VFX system. Unreal Engine tools for sculpting and painting expansive terrain, as well as the Unreal Engine Material Editor for generating materials with a unique visual style, are also at your disposal.
