While fans patiently wait for a Deadpool & Wolverine sequel, Marvel Entertainment has just quietly dropped a new Fantastic Four First Steps trailer that hints at the team’s origin and teases the planet-devouring Galactus. It’s generating a lot of excitement for Marvel’s First Family, set to hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
The 1960s-inspired aesthetic is front and center, with a vibrant, optimistic tone that nods to the team’s comic origins (first appearing in 1961). Imagine sleek spaceships, bold colors, and a mix of vintage and futuristic tech. The Fantasticar, a fan-favorite vehicle with a retro “mid-’60s American concept car” vibe, also makes an appearance. While Marvel promised to skip the classic “cosmic rays in space” origin story, the trailer includes a montage showing how the Four got their powers, possibly tied to a space mission gone wrong.
- Features a LEGO brick recreation of the iconic Infinity Gauntlet with Infinity Stones, and a sturdy stand with a descriptive tablet
- The golden Thanos glove captures forever the captivating style of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame movies
- This impressive homage to Marvel features Thanos' Gauntlet with movable fingers and vibrant colors resulting in a timeless display piece

Fans will also notice a major plot point involving Sue Storm’s pregnancy, first revealed at CinemaCon, which ties to the “First Steps” title (potentially hinting at their kids, Franklin or Valeria Richards). This adds a personal stake to their fight against Galactus. What we don’t see, or at least clearly, are co-stars Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles.

Just keep in mind that this team hails from a different reality, not the main MCU Earth. This sets up their role in Marvel’s upcoming Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars films. The actual film might hint at multiversal ties, though it likely focuses on their standalone story.
