Bel&Bel’s real-life Kaneda bike has made its rounds on the internet for the past year, but now, this Akira-inspired electric Ichiban motorcycle is actually set to go into production. Exact specifications have not yet been revealed, but we do know it’s powered by a dual electric motor system with 5 kW of power that helps it accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
What’s even more interesting is its reported “Godzilla” mode, which sounds sort of like cruise control, as it lets the rider maintain 60 mph for 10 seconds when activated. On a full charge, you can expect around 155-miles of range, while a quick 30 minute fast charge is good for 108-miles. Making this bike street legal means the team needs to develop ABS and traction control systems. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced.

Ichiban isn’t simply a mode of transport; it’s an escape, a liberating streak of freedom in an excessively interconnected world,” said the designer.
