Corsair K100 AIR Wireless Gaming Keyboard
Corsair K100 AIR Wireless keyboard is the company’s thinnest to date, packing a full-size mechanical board with lots of key travel into a frame that is only slightly thicker than many laptops. It is only 11mm thick at its narrowest point, yet 17mm at the position where the keys are located. Despite this, it still includes the stylish Cherry MX Ultra Low Profile tactile switches, which provide a highly crisp and responsive feel without the inconvenience of standard mechanical keyboards.

Corsair designed the K100 AIR around a durable aluminum top plate that looks beautiful in matte black. The entire layout is full-size, so you get a number pad, arrow keys, and even a plethora of media buttons along the right border. I’d say that adjusting volume, playing and stopping tracks, or moving ahead or back is a straightforward process that only requires the click of a button. Six macro keys are directly above the function row, ready for you to assign them to a variety of custom commands or rapid actions in games and apps. To top it all off, the keyboard is completely illuminated with RGB lighting that can be customized using Corsair’s iCUE software, which also manages your settings, remapping, and lighting effects.

Cherry’s Ultra Low Profile tactile switches are what give this keyboard such a superb typing experience. They require 65g of force to register, have 0.8mm to registration, and 1.8mm overall travel, giving you the best of both worlds between the rapid click of mechanical switches and the shallow stroke of compact laptops. Typing on this thing never gets boring, even after a lengthy session, and the switches provide good feedback without being too noisy for you. The minimal latency makes it ideal for gamers, especially when hooked in cable and receiving polling rates of up to 8,000Hz, which equates to instant input recognition. Even in wireless mode, using the Slipstream 2.4GHz connection at up to 2,000Hz, or via Bluetooth to connect to numerous devices at once.

The battery life is also respectable, regardless of whether the lights are turned on or off. With the lights turned on, it will last 50 hours on a charge; turn them off, and it will last up to 200 hours, which is more than enough to get you through anything without having to constantly plug it in. There is a detachable USB-C cable that covers everything, including wired operation and charging. The ability to connect three devices at once is a wonderful addition, especially with a button push that allows you to effortlessly switch between them, so you can have your desktop, laptop, and even tablet all connected and ready to go.

The board weighs about 1.72 pounds and measures approximately 17.3 inches wide by 6.15 inches deep, making it rather small for a full-size board. The aluminum construction (which also adds to the board’s aesthetics) and the adjustable feet provide good stability and tilt. Finally, the software connection allows you to save up to 50 onboard profiles and as many lighting layers as you want, so you can simply save your setup to the keyboard and use it on many computers.
