María Pérez Suero’s LEGO Ideas The Insect Collection (21342) set consists of 1,111 pieces and set to be released on September 7th, priced at $79.99 USD. There are five insects included: a Blue Morpho butterfly, Herculues beetle, the Chinese mantis, a honeybee, and the seven-spotted ladybug, the latter of which is one of the most common insects in the UK.
The set was unveiled alongside a new ‘Green Noise’ ASMR playlist by Emmy-nominated Foley artist Sanaa Kelley. She managed to recreate each insect’s own unique sounds in nature using LEGO bricks, inspired by the three larger insects from the new set. Each one of these tracks is up to 45 minutes long and created entirely from the flutters, clicks and snaps of LEGO bricks as well as the packaging from the set. Listen to the ASMR playlist here.
