Netflix has just released the first trailer for Terminator Zero, an upcoming anime series executive produced by Skydance, Japan animation studio Production I.G., and creator Mattson Tomlin. The eight-episode anime series features the voices of Timothy Olyphant, Rosario Dawson, André Holland, Sonoya Mizuno, and Ann Dowd.
The anime travels back to August 29, 1997, the date that the artificial intelligence network known as Skynet becomes self-aware and leads to an all-out war between humanity and machines. A scientist named Malcolm Lee works to launch a new AI system designed to compete with Skynet’s impending attack on humanity, but is hunted by an unrelenting assassin from the future which forever alters the fate of his three children. You can watch it on Netflix beginning August 29, 2024.
