Artist collective Meow Wolf have transformed an abandoned bowling alley in Santa Fe, New Mexico into a fantasy world of sorts, complete with 70 different spaces for one to explore, mini arcade, four tree houses, and even an interactive cave system. Drone Hong Kong

Artist Andy Yeung captured his entire series “Urban Fog” with drones, showcasing the city’s amazing architectural sprawl, and its lights, from hundreds of feet above. “I’ve seen a lot of amazing fog-themed photographs taken in the day time and I think it would be interesting to capture Hong Kong in the thick mist in the night time with a drone. I named this project ‘Urban Fog” because I want to present how fog is illuminated by the city lights. Hong Kong has long been a city of bright lights and you can see the various colored lights of the buildings light up the fog from underneath,” Yeung told Design Boom. Amphibious Lamborghini

The Lamborghini Countach is a legendary supercar in its own right, but for those who prefer extreme vehicles, this amphibious version should do the trick. It’s registered in England as a Ryan Rover V8 Sports, and sits atop a multi tube semi-space frame, with a composite body molded from a Countach 5000QV. Flyboard Air Hoverboard

Franky Zapata has unveiled an all-new hoverboard called the “Flyboard Air”. This device is claimed to allow users to fly untethered through the sky up to 10,000 feet at a top speed of 93mph, powered by an Independent Propulsion System, which could be jet turbine engines. “The Independent Propulsion Unit represents 4 years of hard work for a result exceeding all records. Although the UFO is still in prototype phase and won’t be on the market in 2016, it has exactly the same behavior as the WFD Flyboard Pro Series,” said Zapata Racing. At first glance, this may look like a theme park attraction, but it’s just the futuristic “Modern Pyramid House” by architect Juan Carlos Ramos. In front, a sliding panel opens up to reveal the garage, while large glass panes envelope the first level, flooding the dining area and living room with natural light. Stephen Hawking Aliens

Stephen Hawking announced today that he’s partnered with Russian billionaire Yuri Milner and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to launch project “Breakthrough Starshot”. This $100-million endeavor will utilize ‘nanocraft’ flying technology, or in other words, sails pushed by beams of light through the universe. Their goal is a 20-year mission to reach the Alpha Centauri star system, located 25-trillion miles away, in search of intelligent alien life. Continue reading for another video and more information.

Swedish photographer and Photoshop guru Erik Johannsson creates optical illusions by manipulating real photos into surreal works of art, like the mirror like you see above. This new piece took months of planning and work, along with over 17-square-meters of real glass. Most of his works contain actual photographs of different elements, which are then blended and then layered atop each other in Photoshop. Continue reading for more pictures and another video.

Star Wars Batman

The Star Wars universe isn’t normally associated with any DC characters, but this custom creation by props maker Julian Checkley is definitely the exception. This helmet combines Batman’s famous cowl with a Star Wars Biker Scout helmet. Best of all, these one-off helmets will be auctioned off for charity.
