Back in September 2014, a hoax Apple advertisement for an alleged feature called “Wave” of iOS 8 started making the rounds online, promising users that they would be able to recharge their iPhone by heating it in a microwave oven. This feature does not exist, and the media cited numerous people reporting on Twitter that they had destroyed their iPhone by following the procedure described in the advertisement, including the person you see above. Gateway to Hell China

A mysterious sinkhole spewing 1457°F fire and incredible heat has appeared in a desolate mountain area on the outskirts of Urumqi, in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in north-western China, attracting large crowds since it appeared a few weeks ago. The heat is so intense that scientists have not been able to get close enough to figure out what exactly happened. Afghan Vet Kinessa Johnson Poachers

US army veteran Kinessa Johnson has become an Instagram star after leaving the US to protect endangered wildlife in Africa. After a tour in Afghanistan, serving four years as a weapons instructor and mechanic, Kinessa joined Veterans Empowered to Protect African Wildlife (VETPAW) as an anti-poaching advisor. The team refrain from using force, but have permission to use their weapons if they feel threatened. Johnson says: “We work side by side with park rangers and it’s truly a learning experience for not only park rangers but also our team. Our intention is not to harm anyone; we’re here to train park rangers so they can track and detain poachers and ultimately prevent poaching.” Continue reading for a video, more pictures and additional information.

Comanche Helicopter

The Boeing-Sikorsky RAH-66 Comanche is basically an advanced 5-blade armed reconnaissance and attack helicopter designed for the United States Army. During the early 1980s, the U.S. Army began formulating a requirement for the replacement of its helicopters then in service, resulting in the Light Helicopter Experimental program.
