Set for release in Q2 2011, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D has graphics that “look on par with (or even better than) the PlayStation 2 version of Snake Eater – developers told us prior to the debut of the 3DS that the hardware is well beyond Wii and approaching 360/PS3 capabilities with what the system can do.” Video after the break. Nintendo officially announced that it will be releasing the 3DS in Japan on February 26, 2011, priced at $298. That’s not all, owners will be able to take their “picture using the 3DS’ front-facing camera and then automatically convert the image into a Mii.” Videos after the break.

Ninty also announced a special edition Super Mario DSi LL (no hardware changes) set to launch for Y18,000 in Japan on October 28th. It also confirmed that a Wii Remote Plus is in development and will be announced at a date some time in the future.
