Set for release in Q2 2011, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D has graphics that “look on par with (or even better than) the PlayStation 2 version of Snake Eater – developers told us prior to the debut of the 3DS that the hardware is well beyond Wii and approaching 360/PS3 capabilities with what the system can do.” Video after the break. Nintendo 3DS Release Date Announced

Nintendo officially announced that it will be releasing the 3DS in Japan on February 26, 2011, priced at $298. That’s not all, owners will be able to take their “picture using the 3DS’ front-facing camera and then automatically convert the image into a Mii.” Videos after the break.

Ninty also announced a special edition Super Mario DSi LL (no hardware changes) set to launch for Y18,000 in Japan on October 28th. It also confirmed that a Wii Remote Plus is in development and will be announced at a date some time in the future.
