Oscar, the first full face transplant recipient, appeared in public for the first time today, in Spain. A team of about 30 medical experts took on the operation, in which “the man received new facial muscles, skin, nose, lips, a jaw, teeth, a palate and cheekbones.” Video after the break.

Oscar, whose face was severely injured in an accident, had undergone nine failed operations before being considered for the transplant.

Capcom revealed Street Fighter X Tekken at Comic-Con 2010, and it’s coming to the PS3 as well as the Xbox 360 platforms. Featuring “Street Fighter IV’s gameplay mechanics, locked onto a 2D plane, with both Tekken and Street Fighter characters performing EX-style super moves.” Trailer after the break. Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada followed that playable match with an announcement of his own, confirming that Tekken X Street Fighter is also in development at Namco. That game is rumored to play in the style of Tekken, with contestants fighting in a 3D arena.

Here’s a first look at Jon Favreau’s adaptation of Cowbows and Aliens, which stars Daniel Craig “as Zeke Jackson, the mysterious stranger who unites the town against alien invaders.” It also features “Harrison Ford, Sam Rockwell, Olivia Wilde, Paul Dano, Keith Carradine, Adam Beach and Clancy Brown” — opens next summer.

1873. Arizona Territory. A stranger (Craig) with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist. What he discovers is that the people of Absolution don’t welcome strangers, and nobody makes a move on its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Ford).

It’s official, the Silent Hill 2 movie has been confirmed, with “writer Roger Avary and producer Samuel Hadida” both on board for the sequel. Best of all, filming begins next year. Actor Radha Mitchell from the first film, “stated that the first film’s director Christophe Gans most likely wasn’t attached to the sequel.”

Samuel Hadida has produced the Resident Evil films as well as True Romance. Avary, who won an Oscar with Quentin Tarantino for the Pulp Fiction screenplay, is also working on the film version of Return to Castle Wolfenstein for Hadida’s production company.

That’s right, a rough Thor trailer was shown at Comic Con’s Marvel panel yesterday. According to Collider, it starts “off basically where Iron Man 2 ended: with the hammer in the desert; cut to Thor being interrogated by Gregg because he destroyed a whole team of his men.” We’ll keep you posted once it’s officially released. We then go to Asgard, which looks sort of like a golden, more polished and richer version of Naboo, where Thor is being yelled at by Odin, stripped of his powers, and banished to New Mexico. “This is Earth, isn’t it?” he asks when he’s discovered alone, in the desert, but Portman’s character.
