The same HP that released big, bulky towers just a couple years ago now reveals the Firebird with Voodoo DNA. Boasting an “Intel Core 2 Quad CPU, twin NVIDIA GeForce 9800S graphics cards in an SLI configuration, hot-swappable 320GB hard drives and an advanced thermal management system.” Video after the break. As we’d heard, the rig will be available starting on January 9th for as little as $1,799 directly from Voodoo, while those too frightened to hand over their credit card information online can hold tight ’til it hits select retailers (read: Best Buy, most likely) on February 1st.

Sony officially unveils the VAIO P Netbook at CES 2009. Aside from the Intel Atom processor, it boasts “Bluetooth, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, and both EVDO and HSPA data courtesy of Qualcomm’s Gobi chipset.” Click here for first picture in gallery.

What’s more, with the FCC providing the exact measurement of that label (128-mm wide), we can eyeball dimensions at just over 9.5 x 4.5-inches making this netbook even smaller than the 10.3 x 6.56-inch HP mini 1000.

Stay tuned for industry-first technology demonstrations. Plus, you also can expect a strong statement from us in regard to an array of environmental initiatives, both in the U.S. and globally.
