A group of MIT students hacked one of John P. Harvard statues, and equipped it with a Spartan helmet and assault rifle.

All we can say is “Wow.” We may not be able to talk to MIT students very long at parties without getting sleepy, but when it comes to pranks, it’s clear that we all speak the same language: Nerd.

Sure, the Spawn creator drew up some awesome images of Master Chief, soldier-filled Warthogs, and evil Covenant aliens. Yes, Brian thinks they’re good. However, plastering a glossy reprint all over a controller isn’t cool, it’s gaudy and cheap looking. And packaging in Halo figurines doesn’t make the design any better

. The creator is mentioned to be from the UK and is called ‘Craget’ with the following unit taking him 2 months to complete in his spare time. There are no internal modifications apart from the base cooler that he fitted with some LED’s used to light up the case

There’s no first-person shooter on 360 that can equal Halo 3’s blend of cinematic action, adrenaline-pumping shootouts, and male- (and female)-bonding gameplay. Look beyond the gameplay and you have a rich feature set unlike anything ever delivered in a videogame

Aside from the intense multiplayer mode, Halo 3 also features a nifty video editor, which, according to IGN, is “a true marvel and unlike anything we’ve ever seen in a console game.” Video after the break. Click here for more pictures.

The last time I was truly impressed by a multiplayer feature, it was Bungie’s stat-tracking features in Halo 2. They’ve done it again. The video editor is awesome. And the best part is that you can also save videos from the campaign and use the editor in the exact same way. You’ll experience the video editor first hand on September 25 when you and everyone you know buys Halo 3
