LG Bendable Gaming OLED TV CES 2021
LG Display is set to showcase the world’s first 48-inch Bendable Cinematic Sound OLED (CSO) optimized for gaming at CES 2021, a virtual event that begins on January 11. This paper-thin display bends and unfolds with a curvature radius of up to 1,000R, all without affecting the function of the panel. This means that you can transform it into a flat screen while watching TV and utilize it as a curved screen for gaming sessions. LG Transparent OLED Restaurant Train
CES 2021 is just around the corner, January 11-14, 2021 to be exact, but unlike previous years, this show will be completely digital. However, that doesn’t mean it’s going to lack any innovation. LG has already teased one of its showcases, their transparent OLED screens, specifically the 55-inch panel. How does it work? Well, each screen has two layers of glass on both sides of a set of addressable LEDs, thus allowing the viewer to see through the panel. This is currently LG’s largest OLED TV to date, and the 8K OLED TV boasts an advanced panel with over 33 million self-emitting pixels to deliver the company’s iconic picture quality, ensuring the most lifelike colors in a wide viewing angle, an infinite contrast ratio and true blacks. This 88-inch TV with 8K Ultra HD resolution (7,680 x 4,320) is basically equivalent to 16 times the number of pixels in full HD and four times that of UHD. LG Rollable Laptop Flexible Display
A recently uncovered patent shows that LG could be working on a rollable laptop with a flexible OLED display. The patent sketches show a device that sports a display capable of opening up to 13.3″ – 17″, and the base resembles a sound bar of when unrolled. Due to its form factor, the power button is located on its side, while the computer keyboard, along with the touchpad appears to slide or roll out from the base. LG is always innovating, whether it be home appliances, smartphones, tablets, or other electronic devices, and recently, a ‘Roll-slide mobile terminal’ patent was filed at the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) and published on September 24, 2020. Samsung and Motorola both have smartphones with flexible displays, so it’s no surprise that LG is hard at work on their own. LG Rollable OLED TV
LG’s Signature OLED rollable TV made its debut at CES 2019, and this week, the company announced that it’s now available for purchase, but at the hefty price of $87,000 USD. Featuring a flexible 65-inch OLED panel that utilizes self-lighting pixel technology and individual dimming control for its picture quality. LG Wing Smartphone Official
After several leaks these past few weeks, the LG WING is now official. This innovative smartphone enables users to switch seamlessly between Basic Mode and Swivel Mode any time to enjoy an expanded experience. In the latter, the entire front of the phone rotates clockwise 90°, orienting the Main Screen in landscape mode to reveal a secondary 3.9 inch screen. This means that a single application can be expanded to both screens or two applications can be displayed simultaneously, one on each display. LG MAGNIT 163-inch MicroLED OLED
The LG MAGNIT has been officially unveiled, and this massive 163-inch MicroLED panel features self-emissive micrometer-scale pixels applied directly to the substrate board, thus delivering sharper images with improved contrast and a wider viewing angle. Plus, LG’s new Black Coating technology is applied to the front of the display and vastly improves contrast as well as color accuracy, all the while helping to protect the tiny LED pixels from moisture, dust and external impact.
