New 2018 MacBook Pro

Apple revealed new refreshed MacBook Pros for 2018, and it includes both the 13- ($1299+) and 15-inch ($2399+) models. The former can be configured with an Intel Core i5 / i7 CPU, and up to a two-terabyte SSD, while the latter offers a Core i9 option, 32GB of RAM, as well as a 4TB SSD. For media professionals who need more graphics power, the 15-inch model includes AMD Radeon Pro GPUs with at least 4GB of VRAM, and the 13-inch has Intel’s Iris Plus 655 graphics (128MB of eDRAM). MacBook Roof Apple Store

Designed by Foster + Partner and located along Chicago’s beautiful riverfront, the Apple Michigan Avenue store officially opened today. Unlike other Apple Stores, this one boasts a 111-by-98 foot carbon-fiber roof designed to look like a giant MacBook from above, though the iconic logo was removed for unknown reasons. The entire structure is supported by four interior pillars to provide guests with an obstructed view through its 32-foot glass facades. MacBook Chicago Apple Store

Downtown Chicago is getting a new flagship Apple Store, and on Thursday, workers installed a giant Apple logo on the roof, or to be more specific, one that looks just like a MacBook Pro. The completed building will feature an all-glass construction, as well as a thin, carbon fiber design, which could mean a new color for the next-generation laptop.
