For those unfamiliar with Mass Effect and its weapons, the M-29 Incisor rifle is basically “designed to overload active defenses such as shields; firing three shots with each pull of the trigger, the Incisor’s burst is so fast that all three rounds will be in the target by the time the barrel has moved a millimeter, increasing its stopping power without sacrificing accuracy.” Click here to see an incredible homemade version by “zanderwitaz”. The only thing missing is the ability for this thing to actually fire rounds. There’s nothing quite like a weapon with the accuracy of a sniper rifle that can fire bursts of multiple bullets in a fraction of a second, and I wish it was standard issue in every FPS.

Mass Effect is game that is greater than the sum of its parts. Technical issues abound, but the majority of Mass Effect is so expertly delivered that it can transcend its weaknesses. Applying number ratings to a game like this doesn’t do it justice because there is no way you can ignore its technical flaws. Simply put, Mass Effect is a game that must be played. Then it must be played again. Don’t pass this one up
