A batch of Nissan 370Z press shots have been leaked one week before its official unveiling at the LA Auto Show. On the inside, “the rear strut tower brace that seriously compromised the 350Z’s trunk space has been moved just aft of the doors and everything in the engine bay looks ready for production.” Click here for first picture in gallery.

While the new head- and tail-lamp treatments have garnered the most attention, a few elements haven’t been in clear view until now.

At first glance, this may look like something you’d see in a video game, but it’s actually a Nissan Maxima modded to look like a BMW 7-series with a touch of Transformers. Click here for first picture in gallery.

Though we’ve seen many of these mods before, there is something especially hideous about seeing them all together. The collapsing hood, like the petals of a Venus Flytrap, is setup to trap unsuspecting onlookers.

Nissan GT R Skyline

You can’t go wrong with flat black, as this Nissan GT R Skyline proves. Hopefully, Nissan’s upcoming GT-R V-Spec will have this color as an option. Click here for first picture in gallery.

That first shot from behind of the flat black (or matte black, if you’d prefer) 2009 Nissan GT-R got us hoping we’d find more shots of Godzilla looking all hotted-up with what we’ll assume is some pretty sweet wrap action.

Unlike other hybrids, Nissan’s Cube concept sports an “electric motor and laminated lithium-ion batteries located under the floor and seats.” Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

Nissan’s compact lithium-ion battery technology, one of the company’s traditional strengths, provides batteries with twice as much energy compared with a conventional cylindrical battery of the same type and safer operation due to the use of chemically stable spine-structured manganese for the electrode material.

Being a successful night show host comes with its perks, such as spending time with one of the first production (US) Nissan GT-R vehicles. Video after the break.

The range of topics includes all the stats you’ve already memorized, Nissan’s efforts to quell GT-R tuning and Leno’s immeasurable joy that he can check the dipstick himself. Leno maintains that it’s a vehicle he could get “emotionally involved with.”

According to Edmunds, the 2010 Nissan GT-R V Spec is a “lightweight version of Nissan’s new supercar and it’s scheduled to go on sale next year.” Video after the break.

In addition to the weight-reduction program, the 2010 Nissan GT-R V Spec is also expected to surpass the 500-hp mark. Although rampant speculation on the Internet suggests the GT-R is already developing more than 500 horses, our recent dynamometer testing says otherwise
