You’d think a knockoff would at least come up with an interesting name, rather than just misspelling Sony Ericsson. Meet the Sany Ericssan X1. This knockoff features a 2.8-inch display, 1.0-megapixel camera (listed as 8.0MP on back casing), microSD card slot, USB connectivity, and Bluetooth. Click here for first picture in gallery.

Strategic advantages Sany Ericssan holds over Sony Ericsson: A quarterly sales volume measured in the hundreds is considered a rousing success. Neither Sany nor Ericssan have any intention of pulling out of the joint venture.

Sony has gone viral “with its forthcoming Xperia X1, launching a new ‘alternative reality thriller’ centered around a mysterious character named Johnny X.” Video after the break.

There’s not much meat in the video the company is desperately trying to sneak into your daily YouTube diet, but at least we get to see action-packed chases, Memento-stealing plot points of the highest order, and one weird, seemingly backmasked utterance of “Johneeeeeeeeeee… X!”

Sony Ericsson W350’s key characteristics are its design and it musical abilities. It’s true that the flip form factor is not the most convenient or useful one, but it definitely differentiates it from the rest and ads a ‘WOW’ factor, which is rarely seen in this class.
