
Dave Niewinski, the engineer behind Dave’s Armoury, turned a Kuka robotic arm into a full motion roller coaster simulator that brings the theme park experience home. First, an ultra sturdy chair frame made from solid steel had to be fabricated, along with a monitor mount for a curved ASUS ROG screen.

Dark Universe, one of the five immersive worlds at Universal Epic Universe, is set to open in 2025. It will immerse guests in legendary Monster-themed adventures across various attractions, shops, restaurants and character meeting points.

Aquarabia, set to be located in Qiddiya City’s theme park, will have Saudi Arabia’s first inland surf pool. Endless Surf technology will enable the pool to deliver the most authentic surf experience outside of the ocean.

Finally, the Donkey Kong Mine Cart Madness roller coaster at Super Nintendo World Japan in Universal Studios Osaka is near completion, as we can see engineers testing the ride vehicles. This expansion themed after the Donkey Kong series is set to open Spring 2024 and will also feature interactive experiences, as well as themed merchandise and food.

Super Nintendo World’s Donkey Kong Mine Cart Madness ride at Universal Studios Japan will have guests jumping the rails, literally. Put simply, each cart is attached to a hidden track that holds it in place when traveling over seemingly damaged parts of the rail.

Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift is a new roller coaster currently under construction at Universal Studios Hollywood. It will use a state-of-the-art ride system uniquely created to immerse guests within the dynamic Fast & Furious films and most likely feature appearances by well known characters including Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel).

You’ve seen 3D-printed roller coasters, now check out Shadow Stalker, a functional roller coaster built in 17-year-old Sammy Trechak’s backyard in East Brunswick, New Jersey, USA. This 102-foot-long roller coaster has a 10-foot drop and can each speeds of up to 20 mph, with a single train that can seat one row of two passengers.

PortAventura World’s new Uncharted: The Enigma of Penitence attraction has just opened to the public, and you can think of it as a dark ride meets indoor roller coaster. Featuring five launches, complete with unexpected twists and turns, while also being the first indoor roller coaster in Europe to boast a lateral drop.

EddBuilds, a theme park enthusiast, created an amazing 3d-printed roller coaster, called Offride. More specifically, it is based on a Gerstlauer Infinity roller coaster, complete with a vertical lift and three inversions. The planning, building and putting the finishing touches on the build took around 1.5-years to complete.
