Microsoft has released a batch of new Zune HD pictures, showing the player in black and silver colors. Just to recap, it features an OLED display and is powered by a Tegra (NVIDIA) processor. Click here for first picture in gallery.

Most of the shots are variation on a pretty basic theme, but they do give a good idea of what the UI will look like if you’re into the Black Eyed Peas.

Though Microsoft hasn’t officially announced the Zune HD‘s release date, several reviewers have already received pre-production units. That’s right, the Zune HD has appeared on Amazon, with a release date of September 8th, 2009. Just to recap, it’s “the first portable media player that combines a built-in HD Radio receiver, HD video output, OLED touch screen, Wi-Fi and an internet browser.” Product page.

The device also has a built-in accelerometer, so it senses when it is moving. This lets you play games and use apps that are controlled by moving the device. The touchscreen QWERTY keyboard makes it easy to enter information.

So you’ve seen the Microsoft Zune HD press image, now here’s the first hands-on pictures and video — courtesy of Giz’s Brian Lam.
