A Closer Look: Hard Drive Movements

"Delicatessen" gives us a closer look at the internal workings of a hard drive. Video after the jump.
At a boundary where the magnetization reverses, magnetic field lines will be dense and perpendicular to the medium. As the read head passes over a boundary with a magnetization reversal it will experience both an increase in the magnetic field strength and also a magnetic flux
