DirectX 9 vs. DirectX 10 Picture Comparison

Will you upgrade to Vista for DirectX 10? You just might after seeing these pictures. Continue reading to view.
One of the main (only?) improvements in Vista for gamers would be the inclusion of DirectX 10. And to make gamers upgrade, they made DirectX 10 a Vista exclusive. Is it worth it? See for yourself

the first picture is a poor choice because it only shows better quality lighting, which can still be done in dx9. the second picture is much better.

Pre-rendering is easy. I won't be satisfied until I see a side-by-side video comparison. Also, at this point, you're gaining graphical fidelity over program (and game) compatibility. Hmm...pretty game or working game. You decide ^.^

yes, your right its all a con, dx10 is actually dx9, only a bit of 'light'...stop being stupid. It's an upgrade in gaming to say the least, why is everyone so sceptical? it's made to work around vista,so what's the problem? it works, that's the environment it was deigned for, its better, you may need to upgrade, unfortunately in the world of computing that happens every once in a while, deal with it, or quit yapping.

I am sure that dx10 will be better- every version is better than the last, so long as your video card can keep up-I just don't like the promotion of dx10 since it is really a promo for vista, which outside of dx10 doesn't seem to provide a lot of upgrade to xp outside of cosmetics on the functioning side- but is still full of bugs right now and the jury is still out on backwards compatibility- speaking of which, has anyone heard about the backwards compatibility of dx10? are we going to end up with a situation like dx9 where most dx8 and down no longer works?
