It's cool, but only 4GB? WTF, make it bigger!
2
Not a bad start but it needs more storage for sure.
3
does is have SD compatibility?
4
4GB? ROFL. They shouldnt even be mentioning the iPod with such small storage. The first iPod had 5GB. LOL.
5
Yea, the iPod is really on another level with that storage.
6
How much is it? and where can i find it? 4GB ain't much but its not like you're taking your Whole DVD library on that thing.
7
It comes preloaded with that Celine Dion video (notice the track listing). They figure you're going to be crying about the lack of storage anyway, so, they give you that video to make it look like you're crying over the video.
8
ok, the first ipod had 5 gigs and this only has 4..... yet did the first ipod have video?
9
HAHA YOU LISTEN TO CELINE DION!
10
If it plays xvid... then thats right up my alley!

I don't see how much more than 4Gb would really be needed. Granted, bigger is better but how many hours of video do you really need? I fit around 20 TV episodes on a gig which comes to about 4 hours so you'd be good for 16 on 4 gigs.

Similar in size to the ipod nano...

I think 4 GB is probably plenty for a video player. Yes it would be far too small for me to use as a music device, but if I were using it solely for video it would be a different story. Video watching and music listening habits are very different. You set up a playlist (or several) of music and then listen to it multiple times. You won't necessarily update those playlists very often. Video is different, you don't watch the same videos over and over again and rarely update your playlist (or at least I don't). You watch a video, then replace it with a new one. 4 GB will store quite a few TV episodes and even quite a few feature films. It will likely hold several days worth of watching material for most people, after which they'd want to take them off the player anyway. I'd compare this more to the PSP which I use quite regularly for watching video on the go. I only have a 2 GB memory stick for video on my PSP which works out very well for me (I watch in about 45 minute chunks on my commute to and from work each day).

I agree with the rest of the world. The hard drive needs to be bigger. What about the battery life?
15
It's a flash-based player, guys... compare it to the iPod Nano in size an capabilities and you'll see where it fits in the market.
16
I believe they said that it was the same size as the ipod. Like deminsion wise, and not comparing their storage capacity..
17
but the iPod does not support a variety of formats, no open format at all to be precise. any portable device that provide support for at least one open format is way better than any iPod.
18
Gee, who's gonna watch a movie on 2.2inch display? Does a magnifier glass come in the package?
19
rolf so many i-pod fanboys just cause i-pod is good it does not make everything else crap by default

Not impressed. Your site could use a few more ads.

what am I supposed to do with only 4GB of memory?????? If they want people to even consider buying it, then they need to dramatically increase its hard drive. I really like the design though.
