I prefer my old keyboard
2
Fabric Keyboard :)

EZ Reach is not ergonomic, and it's like a keybouard from the 80's =P And most ppl uses just 2 fingers per hand to type (I'm using all of them :D) So they don't need this centered backspace stuff :P Anyway it'd be very annoying to learn where have all the keys gone =P

What, no Optimus?

The Ez keyboard looks good but isnt. u have to relearn to type which isnt cool plus the straight up and down keys look easy to get to but they hurt ur fingers after just a little bit as ur fingers are unnaturaly stretched straight up and down. look at ur fingers right now they dont point straight up and down they are sideways cuz are hands are closer together than are elbows. plus i have yet to have trouble pressing the backspace key or the enter key. anyone who types with more than their pointer fingers will be uncomfortable and cramped int here hands very quickly.

You forgot the fabulous Das Keyboard II! Its excellent to use with touch typing! http://www.daskeyboard.com/

[...] These are the 5 most creative keyboards introduced by TechEBlog. I like the idea of the Virutal Laser keyboard since it is small. However, with it being compatible with PDAs, laptops and other Bluetooth enabled devices, a flat surface is a must. So, there’s a slight con to this keyboard. Actually, any keyboard need a flat surface, so what am I talking about? [...]

Bezilon: You assmarauder. Most people type /properly/. I fucking /hope/.

What about the Datahand? http://www.datahand.com/

Optimus is the MOST DUG keyboard on digg... and it's missing from this? That combi mouse thing is awful... Optimus has to be so much better than that. Maybe they threw you some money?

Jake: "u have to relearn to type which isnt cool plus the straight up and down keys look easy to get to but they hurt ur" **** please.

I have to give it up for the Kinesis ergo keyboard. Your fingers fall naturally into little bowls filled with keys, and your thumbs do a lot more work than your pinkies. It's like the EZ-Reach, only designed for humans hands instead of cold mechanical robots with square hands. Kinesis also has one-touch Dvorak support, macros, and (best of all) a shift pedal! http://www.kinesis-ergo.com/

No Touchstream keyboard?? It was/is the most innovative keyboard out there. It is not just a keyboard, but also a multi-touch user input device. The company went out of business so I can't buy them more :( They still have a website up at: http://www.fingerworks.com I don't know if they were sold or are looking for a buyer.
18
i just wonder what is the keyboard pictured with the headline. it looks like kind of a pedestal form factor. editor?
19
What no PS/2

That EZ keyboard is bad, real bad, whoever designed that thing is stupid, they've made it as everyone who uses a keyboard leaves their hands in the one place. ElekTex Smart Fabric Keyboard is cool, and so is the laser one, but i dont like batteries. Im staying with my keyboard, a good old logitech.
21
Thank god! No Optimus!

I enjoy using a Fingerworks keyboard (too bad the company is out of business.), the touchstreem LP. I find that it's gesture interface is amazing. And, since the keys are all software, I can move them where ever I want and get a totally customized feel for my hand size and strength characteristics. http://www.fingerworks.com

The EZ-Reach demo was pretty crazy. They really put a lot of work into it; I wonder how long it takes to get used to it. It does seem like a good idea.

I've long been wanting to try dumping the crappy QWERTY layout. C'mon ppl, it was designed to be slow! Ah, it's clear why the US can't get with the metric system.
