In this clip, "Rob Bushway talks with Microsoft's Hilton Locke, who demonstrates the new multi-touch technology for tablet pcs and ultra-mobile pc." Video after the jump.
This isn't multi-touch or anything new.
My teacher has a tablet PC and does the exact same thing minus the fact that it works and doesn't have that right/left click.
Multi-touch is where you can use multiple fingers to control the screen, you can barely use one finger on this.

I liked the offset cursor. I hate that about touchscreens that you can't see what you after because your finger is on it. I also like that it disables touch when you're using the stylus. But there might have been a little tweakiness in there. Hard to tell without trying it.
I agree that it doesn't look like multitouch but then multitouch doesn't have many real world uses. Fingerworks who developed multitouch didn't get too far with their keyboards.
