Runway Act-One is a new AI tool capable of transforming human actors into animated cartoon characters without motion-capture hardware. That’s right, it only requires video and voice performances as inputs, thus marking a significant step forward in using generative models for expressive live action as well as animated content.
This model also excels in generating cinematic and realistic outputs, while remaining remarkably robust across camera angles while maintaining high-fidelity face animations. Creators are then able to use the generated media to develop believable characters that deliver genuine emotion and expression, enhancing the viewer’s connection to their content. It’s coming soon for subscribers to their Gen-3 Alpha tool.
