The problem with FPV drones is that they typically have a high learning curve, but EjoWerks aims to change that. This custom First-Person View (FPV) Speeder drone uses a pistol-style R/C car radio that is as simple to use as their ground-based equivalents and can automatically hover at a low fixed altitude, while still being reactive to the ground underneath.
This configuration turns Speeder into a futuristic off-road racer that you would find in a science fiction movie. It features a five-rotor setup, including one in the rear to provide forward thrust without needing to tilt the body. This flat flying approach enables one to control it with a simple R/C car radio instead of a far more complex controller.

I hacked together an Arduino radio of sorts from an abandoned el-cheapo RC car controller and interfaced it to my Taranis trainer port over the airwaves because I always trip on wires. Flip the trainer switch to give control to the pistol radio and wow, it was such a different experience than flying with the copter radio! It was just like driving an airboat on land.
