It’s not MineCity 2000, but Alumio has managed to turn the live-action Minecraft Movie trailer into an animation. What most may not know is that principal photography actually took place in New Zealand rather than just on a soundstage in front of a green screen.
Many complained that the real-life actors just break too far away from Minecraft’s blocky aesthetic, and this is why Alumio created an animated version showing what the original trailer should have looked like. Hopefully, the studio goes back to the drawing board and makes a few tweaks before the film’s release next year.
