The Minecraft-like Populous design for Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Stadium has been revealed. It will be located atop the 200m (656ft) tall Tuwaiq cliff, which is just 40 minutes from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
When complete, it will host some of Saudi Arabia’s biggest sports, entertainment and cultural events. Populous will also be the world’s first fully integrated venue with a combined retractable roof, pitch as well as LED wall. The latter can be used for live event broadcasts, high-definition films and laser shows. If the LED wall is not activated, guests are greeted with breathtaking views of Qiddiya City.
