Martina and Hansi of Nerdforge have handcrafted an exquisite coffee table with a miniature library built into the recessed compartment, or diorama space. Let’s just say that it took a lot of chiseling, cutting, gluing, and staining, before the table even begun to take shape.
Yes, even the coffee table itself was made from scratch, mainly from beech hardwood. However, the tiny potion bottles you see were 3D-printed and then filled with resin for an added liquid effect. After countless hours of work, the duo ended up with a lit-up miniature library encased within the table—think tiny bookshelves, ambient lighting, and that signature Nerdforge craftsmanship. It’s been described as a stunning blend of woodworking, miniaturization, and nerdy creativity, perfect for anyone who loves DIY or miniature art.

In a lot of old libraries you will see some sort of inlay pattern in the floor like a circular design or, in this case, some sort of magical circle design would have been cool. As well, there are a lot of miniature rugs you can buy that might add some interest on the floor (though, I realize it’s not something you’d have made). As it goes, the project is so flipping cool! I love it,” said one commenter.
