
With all the social media services available, it’s easy to forget that news aggregator Digg was once the most popular. Social media pioneers Kevin Rose and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian decided to make it that way once again by acquiring Digg from an advertising company.
Digg 2025 will leverage Ohanian’s and Rose’s historical knowledge from their experiences at Reddit and Digg with today’s technological advancements to give it a proper revival. At various times over the years I had been approached to repurchase Digg; it never felt right. The technologies to solve our biggest pain points didn’t exist.
