A NASA engineer contacted PetaPixel editor Jon H. about a box of photographic films that he discovered in his desk drawer from the Apollo 15 mission in 1971. These original films from the customized Hasselblad EDC (Electronic Data Cameras) medium format cameras used on the lunar surface depict the astronauts, the Falcon LM-10 Lunar Module and Lunar Rover. Modern motorcycle elmets are constructed from an inner EPS “Expanded Polystyrene foam” and an outer shell to protect the EPS. The density and the thickness of the EPS is designed to cushion or crush on impact to help prevent head injuries. They are generally designed to distort in a crash (thus expending the energy otherwise destined for the wearer’s skull), so they provide little protection at the site of their first impact, but continued protection over the remainder of the helmet. Based on Ford’s F450 Super Duty 4×4 drive chassis and sporting a body structure made from dual 18 gauge steel, the 2016 USSV Rhino GX is a street-legal armored vehicle you can actually buy. Tesla T1

Unlike Tesla’s current electric cars, the T1 is based on the Gorlov Vertical Wind Turbine Concept, one in which incorporates individual turbines into each of the four wheels that channel air through ducts into a fifth and final turbine in the rear. This lets the vehicle run on renewable wind-generated energy, increasing acceleration and power. Its “Dynamic Axis System” allows the T1 to turn from the center of both axis, improving handling, since this shortens the wheelbase, thus making it far more agile.
