Lucas Death Star

Although details, such as the superlaser’s location, shifted between different concept models during production of Star Wars, the notion of the Death Star being a large, spherical space station over 100 kilometers in diameter was consistent in all of them. The Death Star model was created by John Stears. In the image above, George Lucas himself inspected the incomplete Death Star model, which was a mirror image of how it appeared in the finished movie. Batmobile Concept V12

It’s only a matter of time until we see the next iteration of Batman’s Batmobile, and one possible design is Ubisoft artist Encho Enchev’s “Batmobile Concept V12”. Featuring an ultra lightweight, yet extremely rugged, carbon fiber and titanium chassis, this monster offers a twin-turbocharged V12 engine producing 750+ horsepower, two 20mm machine guns that fire armor piercing bullets, six laser-guided missile launchers, as well as a built-in spy drone. Rogue One Anime

Twitter user “nohofrog” reimagines Jyn Erso, K-2SO and Cassian Andor from Star Wars: Rogue One in a Ghibli-style anime. Since Disney owns the rights to Star Wars, this idea may not be too far fetched, and we could see full-length anime features in the near future, either of the current characters or several from the other series, like Force Awakens. Industrial designer and 3D artist Florian Renner is back at it again, and this time, it’s a modern take on the classic C64 Computer. Think of it as an iMac meets C64, complete with an illuminated keyboard that includes additional standard keys, replacing the original F-Keys on the right side to four programmable buttons which can be used to open / quit applications, start automator workflow scripts. etc. Instead of using normal hard drives, this machine employs two SATA ssd drives on the front, which are perfect for installing your own custom boot cards. At first glance, it looks like a mobile climbing wall that mountaineers use for practice, but upon closer inspection, you’ll see it’s the “Tiny Adventure Home” by by Tiny Heirloom. It measures just 28-feet in length, but this mini living space boasts a full dining room, kitchentte, bathroom, a large window, as well as two loft areas, one for sleeping and the other for lounging. Vantablack S-Vis

This is what a perfect circle looks like when coated with Vantablack S-VIS, a substance made of carbon nanotubes. It’s currently the blackest substance known, absorbing up to 99.965% of radiation in the visible spectrum. When light strikes vantablack, instead of bouncing off, it becomes trapped and is continually deflected among the tubes, eventually becoming absorbed and dissipating into heat. The outgassing and particle fallout levels of Vantablack are low. The high levels in similar substances in the past had prevented their commercial usefulness. BMW Orion Streamliner

Inspired by the predatory osprey bird, designer Mehmet Erdem’s BMW Orion Streamliner is a retrofuturistic motorcycle that has the rider sitting close to the ground. Featuring a luxurious leather seat, sleek black body panels, a single front headlight, and what looks like wooden accents along the sides.
