The futuristic-looking Sikorsky X2 helicopter features a double-decker, quadruple blade design and “the designers want it cruising at over 285mph by the time they’re done — over 100 mph faster than, say, an Apache attack chopper, which tops out at around 175mph.” Video after the break. Think of the Kamikaze go-kart as your very own demolition derby vehicle that can be safely driven through flaming barrels and more. The R/C setup “consists of a transmitter, a receiver, and several actuators on the receiving end – either servos (electric motors that rotate to a specified position or speed) or relays (which turn electrical components on and off).” Video after the break.

Commands from the transmitter about position, speed of rotation, or simply “on” and “off” are sent to the onboard receiver, which decodes them into a signal that can be interpreted by the connected servos and switches.
