The hottest buzz online today has been about the USA Algeria World Cup match, and we’ve got the highlights for you after the break. In the game, Landon “Donovan was cast as the hero after sealing the most dramatic victory in United States men’s soccer history on Wednesday night with a stoppage-time goal in a 1-0 win over Algeria that sent the team into the World Cup’s round of 16.”

Just a couple more minutes and the USA would have been sent packing in disappointment after a series of missed chances and another goal that was wrongly disallowed by the officials.

The team over at iFixit wanted to see firsthand whether or not the new iPhone 4 had 512MB RAM, so they just had to disassemble it of course. The front glass panel of the iPhone is constructed of Corning Gorilla Glass, a chemically strengthened alkali-aluminosilicate thin sheet glass that is reported to be 20 times stiffer and 30 times harder than plastic.

A magnitude 5.0 earthquake has just hit Toronto, Canada and was also felt “in a number of U.S. states, including Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Vermont, New Hampshire, New Jersey and New York.” The USGS “initially said the quake had a 5.5 magnitude, but later reduced it to a magnitude-5.0.” Continue reading for a news report.

The USGS said the quake occurred at a depth of about 12 miles (19.2 kilometers). The quake came just ahead of the weekend summit of G-20 and G-8 world leaders in Toronto and Huntsville, Ontario.

It’s running a brand new version of Motoblur on top of Android 2.1, which seems a bit more integrated into the OS than the old version, rather than slathered on top like colorful, half-hardened rubber cement. I’m already in love the true multitouch keyboard.
