The Canon Rebel T2i is set to hit stores next week, according to the website Canon Rumors. Boasting “a class-leading 18.0 Megapixel CMOS Image Sensor and increased light sensitivity for low light photography, the EOS Rebel T2i also has an advanced HD Movie mode for gorgeous Full HD movies.” Video after the break.

…the T2i will apparently have an improved LCD screen with higher resolution, a new battery and a customizable FPS setting for video recording. There might even be a new shape for the latest model in the traditional Rebel series.

NASA is preparing Space Shuttle Endeavour for a 4:39am EST launch, “14 hours before the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints kick off Super Bowl 44 in South Florida.” This mission, first of the final five planned, will be used to deliver the earth observation deck to the ISS.

The predawn shuttle launch is also expected to be the last ever to blast off in darkness. At liftoff, Endeavour’s twin solid rocket boosters will light up the night sky, Zamka said. That’s the first thing Florida skywatchers will see.

Google Maps may be nothing new, but using the maps for something other than directions is. The example above was created by graphic designer Beste Miray Dogan, who “showed that with a Google Map print out and a little ingenuity, you can make a custom envelop that pinpoints the exact location from which it was sent.”

There’s no template on her site, but with some trial and error I trust you’ll be able to master the mapenvelope in no time.
